Cory Booker unveils new tax credit plan Before Iowa Trip

Cory Booker’s presidential campaign asserts he’s currently proposing a substantial expansion of the earned income tax credit to reduce the annual tax bill for nearly half of taxpayers.

Even the New Jersey senator, who recently launched a nationwide tour aimed at boosting his 2020 bid, intends to discuss his new tax credit proposal on Monday — that the date which most Americans’ taxes are because of the IRS during a visit to Iowa.

His tax credit would be paid for by booker by taxing capital gains income at precisely the same rate as other income. His campaign, mentioning the nonpartisan Tax Policy Center, projects the larger credit could benefit 154 million Americans.
